TL;DR
Electrical & Instrumentation Asset Improvement Coordinator (Gas Processing) (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation): Improving the reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance of electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control-system assets across a gas processing plant with an accent on fault-finding, maintenance strategies, and capital project coordination. Focus on diagnosing PLC, HMI, drive, instrumentation, and control-system issues, leading root cause investigations, and coordinating site execution through commissioning and handover.
Location: Port Kembla, NSW 2505, Australia; full-time, site-based role supporting the Gas Processing plant, including after-hours support when required.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and support for electrical, instrumentation, maintenance, and asset activities across planned and breakdown maintenance.
- Fault-find and resolve issues involving HMIs, drives, instrumentation, control systems, electrical distribution, equipment, and PLCs.
- Lead root cause analysis, structured problem solving, reliability investigations, and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and task frequencies.
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, customer requirements, execution plans, and project documentation.
- Coordinate site execution, including planning, scheduling, permits, isolations, safety, technical supervision, contractor management, procurement, and specialist suppliers.
- Coordinate plant modifications and capital, repair, and maintenance projects through commissioning and handover while maintaining compliance and accurate technical documentation.
Requirements
- Electrical trade qualification.
- Experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or continuous-process environment.
- Relevant experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and/or automation.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, asset reliability, and maintenance strategy capabilities.
- Experience coordinating work across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, contractors, and suppliers.
- Experience using SAP or a similar computerized maintenance management system.
