Exception Specialist I

What you will do

• Assist with creating, modifying, and recertifying standing transportation orders under supervision.
• Support standing-order management and hospital discharge trip assignments.
• Investigate customer service issues, utilization exceptions, benefit issues, and straightforward operational problems.
• Provide support for verifications, waivers, pre-authorizations, denials, appeals, liquidated damages, and recoupment activities.
• Conduct cancellation audits and help maintain accurate reporting and facility records.
• Review utilization and billing trends, provide data for cost-saving reviews, and report findings to senior colleagues.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and comprehension required.
• High school diploma required; zero or more years of experience accepted, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
