Associate Specialist, Patient Access (Min 6-8 hours weekly and as needed)

Location: Onsite at HSHS - St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin; candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform admitting and pre-registration duties for hospital patients.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Explain consent, Medicare, Tricare, observation, and other patient forms, obtaining required signatures and documentation.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required notices and educational materials.
• Conduct account audits, maintain accurate records, operate the telephone switchboard, and provide compassionate customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work onsite at HSHS - St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
• Inquisitive approach and openness to innovation, including AI-enabled process improvements.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
