Transmission General Foreman, Supervisor (Electrical Transmission)

Location: On-site in San Dimas, California, with work at an SCE facility or in the field and up to 90% travel throughout the SCE service territory.

Salary: $154,000–$231,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise multiple crews performing transmission and distribution construction, maintenance, repairs, and emergency restoration.
• Direct installation and maintenance of transformers, arrestors, cutouts, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Review work orders, construction plans, materials, and field methods for compliance with applicable construction standards.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce safe work practices, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
• Respond to after-hours outages and emergency repairs, including commissioning, testing, sagging wire, circuit phasing, and grounding activities.
• Train, coach, mentor, and develop employees while coordinating with management, internal departments, crews, and external customers.

Requirements

• At least two years of combined experience performing or supervising underground and overhead construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical distribution systems.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Ability to work on-site and travel extensively throughout the SCE service territory.
• Ability to pass a NERC/CIP Personnel Risk Assessment or background investigation and complete required training before obtaining unescorted access.
• Experience with safety practices, construction and maintenance methods, tools, equipment, and applicable standards.
• Ability to plan resources, make decisions, delegate work, monitor performance, and hold employees accountable.

Nice to have

• Associate degree.
• Experience with environmental compliance, hazardous waste, yard management, procurement, and material supply processes.
• Experience leading bargaining-unit employees and handling labor relations, diversity issues, and union agreements.
• Knowledge of GO 95, 128, 165, and Accident Prevention Manual safety rules.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
