Salary: $82,039.23–$112,803.95 per year

What you will do
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense applications.
- Perform detailed engineering analyses and simulations to validate and optimize designs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, design specifications, and project updates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, performance targets, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in mechanical design principles, CAD software, and computer-aided engineering tools.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required for employment because an active U.S. security clearance is required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5 and parametric or model-based design.
- Knowledge of materials, hardware selection, manufacturing, production, aircraft and space environmental requirements, and engineering non-conformance disposition.
- Familiarity with FAA, NASA, and DoD regulations or missile system development programs.
- Experience providing technical guidance to engineers.
