Senior Controller - General Ledger Shared Services

Location: Fully remote within the continental United States; international countries are not permitted. Daily collaboration follows Eastern business hours, with extended hours during close and year-end, occasional early or late calls with the Colombia-based team, and up to 15% travel.

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual record-to-report close activities across approximately 100 network companies, targeting a consistent 8–10 business-day close.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, trial balances, close checklists, and OneStream submissions.
• Lead the general ledger workstream for newly acquired companies, including chart-of-accounts mapping, opening balances, data conversion, and first close.
• Own SOX 404 control matrices, process narratives, flowcharts, segregation of duties, audit walkthroughs, testing, and remediation.
• Lead and develop a blended onshore and Colombia-based offshore GL team, scaling toward 10–15 employees by 2027.
• Drive OneStream, ERP, automation, process standardization, SLA, KPI, and change-management initiatives with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted CPA license and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years leading teams.
• 4+ years leading a GL or R2R function within a shared services center supporting multiple entities or business units.
• Hands-on experience with OneStream, Oracle Hyperion/HFM, or a comparable CPM tool, plus public-company SOX 404 experience.
• Experience managing offshore or outsourced accounting teams, integrating at least two acquisitions, and leading major process or system changes.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, including ASC 842, ASC 606, ASC 805, accruals, fixed assets, leases, revenue, and business combinations; advanced Excel skills required.

Nice to have

• NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, BlackLine, FloQast, or OneStream Account Reconciliations experience.
• Experience with startups, small businesses, private equity-backed roll-ups, serial acquisitions, or IPO readiness.
• Experience leading nearshore teams in Latin America.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process-improvement training.
