Global Business Controller & Accounting Policy Leader

What you will do

• Establish and lead the Accounting Policy and Controls team covering complex transactions, valuations, impairments, leases, revenue recognition, derivatives, foreign currency matters, and business combinations.
• Lead business controllers who advise business lines on accounting policies, practices, compliance, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Business Finance on accurate accounting and reporting.
• Manage compliance with the internal controls framework and address control matters with internal and external audit teams.
• Review technical accounting matters with external auditors and analyze new guidance from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies.
• Provide accounting and reporting updates to the CEO, CFO, Corporate Controller, and Assistant Controller.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related technical field.
• MBA preferred.
• CPA required.
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• 14+ years of experience with Big 4 or a combination of industry accounting policy and external reporting experience.
• At least 5 years of team management experience, with strong analytical, project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
