Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

Location: New York City, New York; hybrid flexibility between home and office.

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 per year in New York.

What you will do

• Manage the SEC reporting cycle, statutory financial statement preparation, and external audit coordination.
• Own key operating and performance indicators, including constant currency calculations.
• Advise on complex accounting topics including revenue recognition, capitalized software, mergers and acquisitions, and financial statement presentation.
• Lead complex accounting projects and analyze technical accounting transactions.
• Prepare accounting white papers, calculations, journal entries, and technical accounting memos.
• Review new accounting standards and support their documentation and implementation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Big 4, a technology company, or a combination of both, focused on technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Workiva.
• Strong problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• New York metro location is preferred.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Workday Financials, Alteryx, and Salesforce.
• Active CPA license.
• Experience overseeing equity accounting and stock-based compensation.
