Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/AWS)

Location: Hybrid position based in or near the Bloomington, Illinois hub, with residence required within a 180-mile radius of the hub or corporate locations.

Salary: $85,500–$125,000 per year, with potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, test, and support full stack applications and tools.
• Build products for viewing and managing hirify.global agent and agent team member information.
• Identify technical issues and develop repeatable solutions that improve accuracy, security, efficiency, and performance.
• Develop and support cloud services using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts to design solutions that meet business requirements.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, story development, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, CSS, and JSON.
• Knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, related frameworks, and REST services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and GitOps.
• Knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Working knowledge of programming, databases, SQL, PostgreSQL, security, containers, version control, and unit testing.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, architecting, and implementing AWS solutions through automation with tools such as Terraform.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
