Learning Experience Designer (Contract) (AI)

Location: Remote within the following approved U.S. states: Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin

What you will do

• Research, outline, develop, and quality-assure courses across leadership and management topics.
• Write clear, engaging, learner-centered content based on credible research and established best practices.
• Design scenario-based and practice-oriented learning for feedback, coaching, conflict, and other interpersonal skills.
• Create courses for first-time managers, experienced leaders, and different learner personas.
• Maintain a consistent voice and structure across a large multi-course library.

Requirements

• Independently create accurate training content across varied subject areas without relying on a dedicated subject matter expert.
• Translate complex or unfamiliar concepts into engaging digital training in an LMS or e-learning format.
• Use AI-powered course authoring tools such as Articulate Rise.
• Demonstrate strong written communication, instructional design skills, and attention to detail.
• Write appropriately about sensitive topics such as performance issues, conflict, and layoffs.
• Use generative AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in course design and content development.

Nice to have

• Experience creating leadership, management, or professional skills training.
• Background in HR, organizational development, or people management.
• Experience designing persona-based or role-specific course tracks.
• Experience building large course libraries rather than one-off courses.
