What you will do
- Prepare migration context, including functional documentation, source schemas, and target data models, so LLMs can generate accurate mappings in both directions.
- Design and tune prompts for generating queries, mappings, and transformation rules, while reducing rework during human review.
- Validate generated SQL and mappings against data models, including entities, fields, relationships, and constraints.
- Build parameterized queries to detect changes across databases, spreadsheets, and document folders.
- Develop safeguards for LLM-generated SQL and controlled writes to source systems with the Senior Python Developer.
- Classify synchronization failures, automate migration preparation, and version approved artifacts with their source inputs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience with Python and strong software engineering practices.
- Advanced SQL skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and BigQuery.
- Production experience building LLM applications and integrating hosted LLM APIs with structured output and validation.
- Experience with prompt engineering, prompt versioning, fallback strategies, cost and latency optimization, and LLM evaluation.
- Ability to understand and modify partially documented codebases, work autonomously, and handle evolving requirements.
- Advanced English fluency required.
Nice to have
- Experience with data migration or ETL projects.
- Experience with Vertex AI or Gemini.
- Experience extracting data from spreadsheets or documents.
- Experience with MLOps, including CI/CD, observability, and reproducible pipelines.
