TL;DR
Data Scientist I (AI): Developing and maintaining predictive, prescriptive, and statistical models for auto finance use cases with an accent on forecasting, optimization, data mining, and advanced statistical methods. Focus on analyzing large datasets, designing model monitoring protocols, applying machine learning algorithms, and communicating business impacts to senior leadership.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid work with a minimum of two days per week in the Fort Worth office

What you will do

  • Research, analyze, and model organizational and portfolio data.
  • Develop, deploy, maintain, and monitor predictive, prescriptive, and statistical models for originations, collections, risk, pricing, fraud, customer experience, and marketing.
  • Apply forecasting, optimization, data mining, supervised machine learning, and advanced statistical techniques to business problems.
  • Design research projects, collect and analyze data, summarize findings, and develop recommendations.
  • Present analysis and business implications to internal clients, business leadership, and senior management.
  • Collaborate across departments, prioritize multiple projects, and deliver analytical products that meet business needs.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience as a data scientist or in a similar quantitative field.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, econometrics, economics, operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, physics, or a similar quantitative discipline; equivalent education, certifications, or experience may be considered.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, probability, statistics, quantitative analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Advanced knowledge of regression, sampling, time series, survival analysis, clustering, decision trees, multivariate methods, non-parametric techniques, principal components, and linear programming.
  • Advanced skills in Python, SAS, SQL, R, JMP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus experience with large datasets, data warehouses, and technical systems.
  • Ability to document and monitor models, solve analytical problems, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior management.
