Risk Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote-first role. Office spaces are available in San Jose, California, and Draper, Utah.

Estimated annual salary: $95,500–$135,000 USD, depending on geographic zone, experience, expertise, and location.

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic risk portfolio plans using statistical and analytical techniques to identify performance patterns and early risk indicators.
• Build operating frameworks and deploy automation and AI-assisted tools, including workflow integrations and LLM copilots, to reduce manual work.
• Design advanced dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, AWS QuickSight, or similar tools for sponsors and leadership.
• Manage third-party vendors, performance metrics, evaluations, ROI tracking, and budget lines.
• Maintain project trackers, timelines, governance records, audit documentation, and cross-functional alignment across Strategy, Product Management, and Engineering.
• Partner with risk analysts and data scientists to develop data-driven control strategy recommendations across credit, fraud, and reputational risk.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in risk management, portfolio analytics, program management, or a related field in financial services, ecommerce, or fintech.
• Experience independently managing medium-scale, cross-functional programs or workstreams.
• Hands-on experience with third-party vendor management, performance measurement, audit requirements, and ROI reviews.
• Working knowledge of payment products and credit, fraud, or reputational risk management.
• Ability to translate complex data and risk analysis into actionable recommendations and structured presentations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating or deploying AI and automation tools such as Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or GitLab Duo.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar continuous improvement experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, computer science, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
