IT Field Support Engineer

Location: Onsite in Carmarthen or Worcester 3–5 days per week, with travel to Warwickshire, Exeter, Bristol, Dorset, and Wiltshire for project work and support cover.

Salary: £35,000 per annum plus a £4,800 car allowance.

hirify.global is recruiting for a specialist customer requiring field-based IT support across multiple locations.

What you will do

• Provide onsite support across Windows 10/11, including troubleshooting and event log analysis.
• Administer Microsoft Server environments, including joiners, leavers, movers, DHCP, DNS, ADDS, and VAMT tasks.
• Perform software support, hardware break/fix, fault finding, installations, office moves, and basic server maintenance.
• Monitor antivirus, networks, storage capacity, physical hardware health, and auditing activities.
• Travel to other customer sites for project work, annual leave cover, and support requirements.
• Maintain ticketing records and create internal and customer-facing process documentation.

Requirements

• Basic to intermediate IT knowledge and willingness to develop in non-standard environments.
• Good understanding of Windows operating systems, Windows Server, and networking.
• Experience in IT support, field services, or service desk roles is desirable.
• Ability to prioritise support tickets and manage workload efficiently.
• Familiarity with break/fix processes and hardware troubleshooting.
• SC Clearance is preferred.
