IT Engineer (Linux/SQL)

hirify.global is recruiting for an IT support role serving a warehouse IT environment.

What you will do

• Provide first-line support to warehouse floor and office users by phone, ticketing system, and in person.
• Deliver functional support for the warehouse IT system; training will be provided.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, application, access, and connectivity incidents.
• Perform basic Linux administration, including service, log, permission, and connectivity checks.
• Support Oracle and SQL issues, including basic queries and data validation.
• Manage incidents against SLAs, document escalations, identify recurring problems, and support shift handovers.

Requirements

• Experience in first-line, service desk, onsite, or equivalent customer-facing IT support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft end-user environments; basic Microsoft 365 and Active Directory exposure is helpful.
• Practical Linux skills, including command-line use, service and log checks, and basic networking.
• Exposure to Oracle and/or SQL, including running basic queries and understanding common database faults.
• Strong communication skills with non-technical users in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
