What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Coordinate care delivery and collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Delegate appropriate patient-care activities and oversee assistants involved in direct care.
• Document patient responses, communications, interventions, and care-plan updates in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.

Nice to have

• Experience in a specific clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
