Sterile Processing Tech II - Feinberg, Full-time, Nights

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite night shift, 11:00pm–7:30am, 40 hours per week

Salary: $23.90–$30.17 per hour

What you will do

• Decontaminate, disinfect, inspect, sort, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and instrument sets.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washer-decontaminators, sterilizers, heat-sealing equipment, and cart washers.
• Perform biological testing and quality assurance checks, maintain logs, document results, and report adverse findings.
• Prepare and deliver accurate case carts and respond to instrument and supply requests from surgical teams.
• Use the Tray Tracking system, rotate through assigned department areas, and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
• Train new employees as a preceptor, support staff, communicate operational issues, and complete work from previous shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Current certification from NICHSPD, IAHCSMM, or CBSPD.
• Knowledge and experience with surgical instrumentation.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes, decontamination, packing, shelf life, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago on the 11:00pm–7:30am night shift for 40 hours per week.
