Pharmacy Technician - Sterile IV Compounding

Location: Onsite in Santa Fe Springs, California, United States. Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with rotating weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $25.17–$28.09 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare compounded sterile IV medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Use aseptic technique to prepare sterile products and solutions.
• Set up compounding rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Participate in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Prepare records and monitor pharmaceutical quality assurance testing results.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California Board of Pharmacy is required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of the pharmacy technical field and ability to follow established procedures under direct supervision.
• Ability to stand regularly, use hands and arms frequently, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT.
• cGMP training or experience.
• Aseptic processing training or experience; training will be provided.
