Laboratory Quality Control Technician

Location: Hazlet, NJ, USA (Plant/Creative Center); onsite day-shift role

What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses for quality control and service samples.
• Run gas chromatography, density, refractive index, CM-5 color, and oil extraction tests for Polyhirify.global samples.
• Review GC profiles, perform manual testing for failed batches, and support the resolution of production issues and customer complaints.
• Operate and maintain analytical laboratory instrumentation and support day-to-day fragrance quality control operations.
• Enter data, report results, and track materials and approvals in SAP, PLM, Perfumer Database, and hirify.globalMAN.
• Work with production, inventory, supply chain, chemists, evaluators, sales, creative centers, and corporate quality control colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a quality technician role, preferably in the fragrance, flavors, or aroma chemicals industry.
• A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, science, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and proactively resolve issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP or an MRP system.
