What you will do
- Administer and maintain EHS programs, policies, and chemical hygiene plans.
- Perform laboratory inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards.
- Manage the safe procurement, storage, and disposal of hazardous, universal, and biological waste.
- Develop and deliver training on laboratory safety, industrial hygiene, and emergency procedures.
- Perform inorganic and organic chemistry analyses using EPA-approved methodologies.
- Operate specialized instrumentation including ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and GC-MS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences (Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, Biology, etc.).
- Minimum 6 years of laboratory experience.
- 2 years of experience in lab safety, RCRA/OSHA implementation, and hazardous waste management.
- 3 years of experience with EPA-approved methodologies in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
- U.S. citizenship required per federal contract.
- Must be able to pass an EPA background check to obtain access to US federal property.
Nice to have
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- RCRA training.
- Experience with Clinysis (Promium) Element LIMS and Ideagen Quality Management System (IQME).
