Quality Technician (Aerospace Manufacturing): Inspecting electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components and assemblies throughout receiving and production processes with an accent on measurement tools, drawings, specifications, and nonconformance control. Focus on reviewing material dispositions, supporting MRB activities, creating inspection records and end-item data packages, and maintaining compliance with aerospace quality standards.
Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States. Onsite manufacturing role with local/regional travel of up to 10%; dayshift schedule, five days per week, with occasional weekends or overtime.
Salary: $24.28–$38.46 per hour. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $30.29–$45.19 per hour.

What you will do
- Inspect electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components and assemblies during receiving, in-process, and final production inspections.
- Use measurement tools, gauges, microscopy, and photographic equipment to evaluate products and document nonconforming conditions.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, work orders, standards, and manufacturing documentation to verify compliance.
- Create inspection records and nonconformance reports, communicate issues to supply chain, production, and engineering, and support resolution.
- Support Material Review Board activities, including disposition recommendations, rework order reviews, and closing nonconformance reports.
- Support traveler work plans, hardware closeout activities, End-item Data Packages, and Program Quality Engineer initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or at least six years of relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, electronics, or a related technical field.
- Industry experience inspecting electrical/electronic and/or mechanical products.
- Ability to independently read and interpret drawings, specifications, manufacturing documentation, and standards.
- Advanced experience using inspection equipment, gauges, and inspection techniques, with strong judgment in identifying acceptable and rejectable conditions.
- Current IPC certification or the ability to obtain and maintain IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS certifications.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice to have
- Basic GD&T experience according to ASME Y14.5.
- Current CIS certifications for IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
