Location: Rio Rancho, NM, United States; on-site work involving clean-room assembly, laboratory equipment, and flight hardware testing

What you will do

  • Assemble, integrate, and test mechanical and electromechanical flight hardware and subassemblies.
  • Read electrical schematics, engineering drawings, interface control documents, and assembly procedures.
  • Operate qualification test equipment, including thermal and vibration systems and laboratory power supplies.
  • Perform incoming inspection, collect and verify component data, and document discrepancies and test results.
  • Work in a clean room and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and assembly areas.
  • Assist engineers, technicians, manufacturing, quality, and test teams while performing moderate physical work.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and three years of technician experience, or high school diploma and five years of technician experience.
  • Demonstrated experience assembling flight hardware and interpreting assembly drawings.
  • Required knowledge of ESD fundamentals and the ability to accurately follow technical documentation and procedures.
  • Experience mixing and applying epoxies and adhesives.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance and meet applicable U.S. Government, citizenship, or other eligibility requirements when required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and support extended work weeks during certain assembly, integration, and test phases.

Nice to have

  • J-STD-001, IPC-620, or IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
