Weekend News Anchor/Reporter (Broadcast Journalism)

Location: Washington, DC — 2121 Wisconsin Ave NW; onsite role

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Anchor weekend newscasts and local programming while reporting during three weekdays.
• Write, edit, and deliver clear, concise news stories under frequent deadlines.
• Report and anchor in the field, including unscripted breaking-news coverage across a large multi-state region.
• Assist with newscast production across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
• Shoot and edit video, create CTV content, and contribute to social media channels.
• Participate in editorial meetings, public appearances, promotional events, and station projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least five years of professional experience; three to five years in a top-40 market is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of national, international, and local issues, with clear writing and speaking skills.
• Experience with newsroom production systems, video editing, digital content management, email, and collaboration tools; ENPS experience is preferred.
• Experience creating CTV or streaming content; vMix experience is preferred.
• Fluent English, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record are required.
