Multiplatform Content Creator / Multimedia Journalist (Digital Media)

Location: Full-time onsite work at an hirify.global-designated worksite in Hartford, Connecticut, United States.

Salary: $73,000–$83,000 per year.

What you will do

• Create lifestyle content for broadcast, streaming, websites, social media, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Research, shoot, write, edit, and produce stories about Connecticut people, businesses, food, entertainment, travel, nonprofits, and community events.
• Pitch original ideas and develop digital-first, social-first, digital-exclusive, evergreen, and sponsored content.
• Collaborate with production, sales, marketing, creative services, digital, and editorial teams on multiplatform campaigns.
• Build relationships with community organizations, tourism partners, businesses, nonprofits, creators, and influencers.
• Analyze audience engagement, platform performance, and digital trends to improve storytelling strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, broadcast journalism, media production, digital media, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least one year of experience as a multimedia journalist, content creator, digital producer, lifestyle producer, or in a similar role.
• Professional experience writing, shooting, editing, and producing video content across broadcast, streaming, websites, digital publishing, and social media.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable non-linear editing software, plus mobile production and digital publishing tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Connecticut.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required; the role must be performed full-time from a designated hirify.global worksite.

Nice to have

• Experience with branded content, sponsored storytelling, audience analytics, SEO, and digital content optimization.
• Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, OTT, and other digital platforms.
• Knowledge of Connecticut communities, culture, businesses, and events.
• Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools, mobile journalism techniques, and emerging content technologies.
• Comfort appearing on camera and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
