Senior Staff, HR Business Partner - BioInsight (San Diego / Hybrid)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; hybrid with 3–4 in-office days per week and additional on-site presence as needed. Must reside in the greater San Diego area and be able to commute to corporate offices.

Base salary: $141,600–$212,400 per year, plus eligible bonus and equity opportunities.

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders to translate business strategy into organization, workforce, and talent strategies.
• Advise leadership teams on organizational effectiveness, talent, leadership, culture, and workforce implications.
• Support organization design, operating models, role structures, spans and layers, team effectiveness, and change management.
• Build leadership teams and talent pipelines through succession planning, talent reviews, development planning, coaching, performance management, and compensation planning.
• Use workforce data, business metrics, and qualitative insights to diagnose organizational challenges and inform decisions.
• Apply AI and emerging technologies to workforce analysis, scenario modeling, talent insights, HR workflow automation, and decision support.

Requirements

• Typically 12+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders in complex, highly skilled organizations; experience with scientific, technical, software, data/AI, bioinformatics, clinical, or life sciences organizations is preferred.
• Strong business acumen, consulting, influencing, communication, organizational design, talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and change management skills.
• Experience using workforce data, analytics, and business information to generate insights and influence decisions.
• Experience applying AI tools and capabilities in HR or HRBP work, including automation, AI-enabled workflows, or agents.
• Flexible to work across multiple time zones and travel as required; anticipated travel is less than 10%.
