Director, Human Resources (Biotechnology)

Location: Hybrid in Waltham, Massachusetts, with onsite work Monday through Thursday

Salary: $190,000–$250,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals and organizational priorities.
• Advise senior leaders on workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
• Lead succession planning, talent reviews, leadership development, organizational development, and change-management initiatives.
• Use HR metrics, analytics, and workforce insights to identify trends and recommend practical solutions.
• Support consistent application of HR policies, employment-law compliance, and resolution of sensitive employee matters.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop HR Business Partners in a matrixed environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 12 years of progressive HR experience, including 8 or more years in an HR Business Partner or HR leadership role.
• Experience managing and developing teams, including HR Business Partners or comparable HR professionals.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, organizational development, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, analytical, communication, influence, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with HR information systems, data-analytics tools, organizational change, and business transformation initiatives.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or comparable HR certification.
