Skilled Tool & Die Group Leader (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and develop Stamping Tool & Die team leaders and team members, prioritizing safety, skill development, and team member satisfaction.
• Develop standards for safety and professional growth and coordinate Change-point Management across shifts and shop sections.
• Lead daily problem-solving for Tool & Die issues and mentor team members in structured problem-solving methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and drive die technology improvements for stamping quality.
• Track the top three Tool & Die problems, prepare shutdown and weekend-work documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
• Present activity and progress reports to senior management and manage attendance and time-entry processes.

Requirements

• Previous Tool & Die experience at a hirify.global facility.
• Team leader experience with more than 10 months of service in the pool.
• Experience with Tool & Die surface leveling, chrome inspections, punch and trim repairs, and leveling.
• Strong teamwork, communication, interpersonal, documentation, presentation, and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and create technical reports and presentations.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship; driving is required and an acceptable motor vehicle record is necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing die technologies, welding, machining, Tool & Die training, programming, or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of TBP, 8D, Fishbone, 4M, 5 Why, and risk-analysis tools.
