Engineering Group Manager - Manufacturing Software Integration (Automotive): Leading software integration engineering for vehicle testing and flash support across GM North America final assembly plants with an accent on standardized processes, quality, and production efficiency. Focus on developing engineering talent, coordinating launch readiness, resolving plant issues, and reducing cycle time and end-of-line defects.
Location: Warren, Michigan, United States; onsite at the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. Travel of up to 25% domestically and internationally is required. Relocation benefits are available under company policy.

What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop an engineering team, including talent selection, training, and career growth.
- Oversee Manufacturing Test and Flash Software integration across GM North America final assembly plants.
- Improve vehicle testing, flash releases, cycle time, defect prevention, and electrical first-time quality.
- Coordinate launch readiness, program reviews, resource allocation, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.
- Resolve plant and end-of-line issues, escalate roadblocks, and drive IT system changes and feedback loops.
- Build strategic relationships across software, manufacturing, product engineering, IT, and program management.
Requirements
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
- Knowledge of electrical quality principles, process standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Experience supporting vehicle launches, program reviews, readiness activities, and leadership reporting.
- Ability to manage resources and budgets, communicate risks and metrics, and align cross-functional teams.
- Manufacturing software integration experience, including vehicle testing, flash releases, plant IT systems, configuration management, and traceability, is preferred.
- Must work onsite in Warren, Michigan, and must not require current or future GM immigration sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with bench testing, VeSCoM checkouts, flash tools, and vehicle or component testers.
- Experience translating technical risks into business impacts and decision-ready recommendations.
- Crisis management experience in urgent plant or production issues.
