Salary: Up to $40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Plan, lay out, construct, maintain, alter, and repair complex multi-station progressive, blanking, piercing, and forming dies.
• Design dies and prepare or direct the preparation of detailed drawings using mathematical calculations and fitting allowances.
• Perform precise machining, die grinding, shimming, component replacement, and skilled bench and hand operations.
• Diagnose die problems, perform emergency press-department repairs, and produce repair parts or special machined items.
• Test dies in the tool room press, recommend operational improvements, and troubleshoot issues during production.
• Prepare complex print programs, instruct other employees, and assist with plant equipment setup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience in the tool and die trade.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multitasking environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 35 pounds and work onsite in Solon, Ohio.

Nice to have

• Wire EDM experience.
• CNC equipment experience.
• Lift truck operator experience.
