Senior Proposal Manager I (Aerospace)

Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States; based at hirify.global's Tucson site. The role supports approximately 10% travel and may involve occasional work in production areas.

What you will do

• Develop and execute proposal plans by analyzing RFPs, creating outlines, and building compliance matrices.
• Partner with Business Development leaders to create proposal strategies and compelling messaging for satellite opportunities.
• Write, manage, and quality-check compliant proposals, including assigned proposal volumes, visual elements, templates, and reusable content.
• Lead kick-off meetings and recurring contributor check-ins while managing deadlines across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and other internal teams to gather and refine proposal content.
• Oversee final production and on-time submission, document lessons learned, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, management, or business discipline.
• At least 5 years of proposal management experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Demonstrated success leading proposals valued above $100 million.
• Technical writing expertise and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, persuasive language.
• Project management experience, including simultaneous project delivery and cross-functional team leadership.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. security clearance.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel, plus Salesforce or SharePoint experience.
• Experience with Shipley, APMP, or other proposal frameworks and methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITAR and EAR requirements.
• Aerospace, defense, satellite industry, organizational effectiveness, or operations experience.
