Project Manager I (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

What you will do

• Plan and execute non-labor scope for aircraft maintenance, modifications, materials, spares, component repair, tooling, subcontracts, and purchased services.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, opportunities, status reports, and project documentation.
• Integrate technical requirements with cost, schedule, procurement, material availability, and program execution.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Planning and Scheduling, Quality, and Program Management.
• Support CAMs with EVMS budget and forecast development, performance assessment, variance analysis, and cost and schedule risk identification.
• Analyze program data, monitor material readiness and supplier performance, and drive cross-functional issues to resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Aviation/Aerospace, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of project management or related technical experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, manufacturing, maintenance, modification, sustainment, materials, supply chain, or another complex technical environment.
• Working knowledge of project management principles covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, and cross-functional execution.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and the relationship between technical accomplishment, schedule performance, budget, actual cost, and forecast.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Government or Department of Defense programs in an EVMS environment.
• Control Account Manager experience or experience supporting CAMs.
• Aircraft maintenance, modification, depot, MRO, sustainment, material, spares, repair, overhaul, or tooling experience.
• Experience with Boeing 747-400, 747-8, widebody, or commercial-derived military aircraft.
• PMP or another relevant project or program management certification.
