HVAC Estimator II

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $72,900–$104,300 CAD

What you will do

• Review plans and specifications and develop accurate cost estimates for equipment, materials, subcontractors, labor, services, and construction activities.
• Select, price, and integrate HVAC equipment, controls, and services for customer projects.
• Assess project needs, constraints, responsibilities, and HVAC system design and installation requirements.
• Develop and discuss facility-related solutions with account managers, project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, technicians, and customers.
• Prepare, finalize, and review proposals, equipment submittals, and equipment selections.
• Support proposal pricing, selling strategy, bidding, and project fulfillment scheduling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC, or construction management.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature controls.
• Practical industry experience and relevant skills in place of a four-year degree.
