Field Service Technician (HVACR)

Location: Remote anywhere in Canada, with up to 70% travel. Strong preference for Eastern Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, and British Columbia. Travel to the United States is required, and overnight travel may be necessary.

Salary: CAD 90,000–125,000 annually.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems.
• Support service, commissioning, and retrofit activities for retail solutions at new and existing customer sites.
• Load and commission system- and network-level controllers and validate complete system functionality.
• Communicate with customers, explain technical information, document outstanding issues, and recommend system enhancements or replacements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, other trades, sales representatives, and project teams to resolve field issues and provide information for as-built drawings and software.
• Manage assigned work efficiently and follow all published safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience from a two-year college or technical school.
• At least 2 years of experience with HVAC controls or building automation systems, including commissioning and startup.
• Strong computer skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Authorized to work in Canada and travel to the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Two-year degree in electronics or mechanical systems.
• Experience installing electronic or mechanical systems.
• 313A Certification.
• Bilingual English/French skills.
