Lead Instructor (Cyber & OSINT)

Location: Remote within the United States, with US business-hours overlap and frequent in-person delivery at federal, SLED, and partner sites across the United States. Travel required: 50–75%; no fixed office requirement.

Base salary: $155,000–$175,000 per year, plus potential equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Program-manage and deliver live and virtual training on cyber investigations, OSINT, and cyber threat intelligence for government and public-sector learners.
• Design curricula, learning modules, labs, practical exercises, assessments, and mixed-media instructional content.
• Teach analysts and investigators to combine cyber and OSINT tradecraft with on-chain tracing across TRM’s AI and blockchain intelligence platforms.
• Build train-the-trainer materials, instructor guides, and reusable content to scale TRM Academy’s cyber and OSINT programs.
• Develop relationships with government and industry partners and expand the TRM Academy learner community.
• Keep training current with ransomware, nation-state activity, phishing, account takeovers, SIM swaps, hacks, exploits, and other cyber-enabled crime.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience instructing courses, leading trainings, or delivering technical instruction.
• Hands-on experience in cyber investigations, OSINT, and/or cyber threat intelligence.
• Experience working with or training public-sector or government audiences, such as cyber divisions, intelligence units, or agency cyber programs.
• Proven ability to build curricula, labs, practical exercises, and assessments that enable others to learn and teach.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to command a room and train private-sector audiences.
• Production-level AI fluency is required and evaluated during the interview and performance-review processes.

Nice to have

• Law enforcement experience at the federal, state, local, or education level.
• Knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital assets, on-chain investigations, or money-laundering typologies.
• Relevant certifications such as GIAC GCTI, GOSI, or comparable cyber and OSINT credentials.
