Staff Software Engineer (LV Battery)

Location: Hybrid in Milford, Michigan; onsite attendance required at least three times per week. Relocation benefits are available for eligible candidates.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance software for low-voltage battery sensing systems.
• Drive improvements in software development processes, tools, and methodologies using practices such as SAFe.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, quality assurance, and product management to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps, battery-system data architecture, and strategic engineering decisions.
• Resolve complex technical issues while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 7 years of progressive software development experience, including embedded systems or automotive applications.
• Strong software coding skills, including proficiency in C or another relevant programming language.
• Experience leading technical projects and initiatives, including battery management sensing software and different sensing AFEs.
• Knowledge of SAFe principles, enterprise data architecture, and complex-system problem solving.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Milford, Michigan, with attendance at least three times per week.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 or more years of progressive software development experience.
• Low-voltage battery or Tier One program launch experience.
• Ability to use AI tools to accelerate product development.
