Hardware Program Engineering Manager - Advanced Robotics

Location: Warren, Michigan; hybrid attendance required at least 3 times per week. Travel required up to 25%. Relocation benefits may be available under company policy.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end engineering execution for autonomous robotics product programs from concept through launch.
• Own mechanical architecture, system layout, design intent, and production-ready design release.
• Integrate automation, vision, power electronics, motors, gearboxes, and actuators with attention to packaging, thermal, structural, and service requirements.
• Manage program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, engineering changes, and configuration control.
• Lead resolution of design, build, and test issues across engineering, software, validation, manufacturing, suppliers, and deployment teams.
• Develop prototype hardware and use virtual prototype tools where appropriate.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience leading complex engineering programs or products.
• Deep experience in mechanical and/or electrical system execution.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong program management judgment and technical credibility in high-ambiguity environments.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee, due to export control restrictions.
• GM immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support.
