Systems Development Engineer II (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: US Remote; must be a U.S. citizen physically located in the United States. Periodic work at a hirify.global office or collaborative work location may be required for certain events or important team moments.

Base pay: $93,700–$169,840 USD annually, depending on hiring location, scope, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments supporting hirify.global Cloud.
• Build automation with infrastructure as code, configuration as code, serverless technologies, containerization, programming, and scripting.
• Maintain and scale continuous integration and continuous delivery environments for software development teams.
• Integrate security best practices, data lifecycle management, backups, permissions, auditing, and sensitive-data protection.
• Participate in on-call rotations, alert triage, escalation, and disaster recovery activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Software Development, Cloud, and Delivery teams in an Agile environment while contributing code reviews, planning, estimation, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen located physically in the United States.
• At least two years of experience with continuous integration tools and techniques, configuration management and deployment tools, or systems administration focused on performance and capacity planning.
• At least two years of experience using Linux, Windows, or Mac operating systems, a current programming language such as Python or Golang, and source control tools such as Git or Subversion.
• Experience with security protocols, data protection practices, and ongoing security training.
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices and enterprise-grade software is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or four years of relevant education and experience is preferred; relevant certifications may include LPIC, RHCE, or AWS certifications.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Cloud-native services using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Monitoring and logging tools, containerization, Kubernetes, and structured databases such as MySQL or DynamoDB.
• Enterprise security and hardening experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
