Family Nurse Practitioner - TXAN Mobile CARE

Location: Bryan, Texas; travel to mobile clinic sites in rural areas around the Brazos Valley

What you will do

• Deliver primary care in a mobile, school-based clinic to students, faculty, staff, families, and community residents.
• Perform patient histories, psychosocial and physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, electrocardiograms, medications, and other therapeutic modalities.
• Coordinate patient care with clinical staff, physicians, consult services, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide preventive care, immunizations, health screenings, urgent care, emergency assessment, and primary care procedures.
• Precept nursing students and contribute to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, data reporting, and scholarly projects.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of directly related family nurse practitioner experience.
• Active Texas licenses as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Family Nurse Practitioner, with prescriptive authority.
• National board certification as a family nurse practitioner.
• Clear, timely clinical documentation and the ability to collaborate in an interprofessional care setting.

Nice to have

• At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience with electronic health records, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in health professions education.
