Licensed Vocational Nurse II

Location: Crockett, Texas; onsite mobile-clinic work with travel to schools and patient homes.

Salary: $17.55–$26.71 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Provide patient care as part of the school-based East Texas Mobile Clinic team.
• Measure vital signs, assess patient conditions, document care in the electronic medical records system, and assist with exams and procedures.
• Support injections, medication dispensing, patient referrals, insurance intake, and laboratory documentation.
• Operate and maintain the mobile clinic, including inventory, medical supplies, medications, equipment, travel logs, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with outside medical providers, laboratories, and the business office.
• Provide guidance to Medical Assistants and assist with training Medical Assistants and student workers.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of vocational or practical nursing.
• At least two years of related patient-care experience.
• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
• Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within six months of employment.
• Texas Class C vehicle operator’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures, confidentiality requirements, and electronic medical record systems.

Nice to have

• Three years of related patient-care experience.
• Rural healthcare experience.
• Experience with electronic health records; eCW experience is preferred.
