Nurse Clinician, Oncology Infusion, Full-Time Days

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite, full-time day shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Assess patients by phone and in person, identify care needs, implement nursing interventions, and document findings in medical records.
• Provide oncology infusion and routine nursing care, including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital-sign measurement, and laboratory specimen preparation.
• Perform complex specialty procedures, including conscious sedation, chemotherapy administration, implantable pain-pump adjustment, and wound excision and drainage.
• Triage telephone calls, interpret abnormal test results, manage urgent and emergent situations, and operate emergency equipment according to protocols.
• Coordinate care with physicians, clinical and administrative departments, outside facilities, patients, and families.
• Initiate patient education, support staff education, and participate in community or specialty-related educational programs.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing and graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Basic CPR certification.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality, apply independent clinical judgment, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
