Staff Nurse (Chestnut Hill South, 30 Hours)

Location: Chestnut Hill South, Massachusetts; 100% onsite

What you will do

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to complex oncology patients and their families.
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer medications and chemotherapy, and evaluate treatment responses.
• Perform pre-procedural assessments, medication reconciliation, IV access, laboratory preparation, and procedural medication administration.
• Monitor patients during sedation and procedures, including airway, circulation, respiration, capnography, and telemetry.
• Recover patients after sedation, provide discharge education, and evaluate readiness for safe discharge.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support research specimen collection, coordinate patient flow, and respond to emergencies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred. Associate-degree nurses must complete a BSN within four years.
• At least one year of recent Registered Nurse experience.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts or New Hampshire is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification is required; AHA ACLS is accepted as the minimum requirement.
• Critical thinking, independent decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with patients from young adulthood through geriatrics, including patients with complex needs.

Nice to have

• Ambulatory or oncology nursing experience.
• Professional certification such as OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, or RN-BC.
