Principal Analytics Consultant (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; flex employees must work in the office at least three days per week

Base pay: $102,000–$184,300 annually, plus an annual incentive bonus plan.

What you will do

• Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for Power BI, AI-enabled analytics development, and Data Agent capabilities.
• Define and continuously improve the end-to-end lifecycle for dashboard and analytics solution development.
• Establish enterprise standards, governance, testing, deployment, and maintenance practices for analytics solutions.
• Own the MEE Data Agent platform lifecycle, including adoption, governance, enhancements, and enterprise scaling.
• Partner with business, analytics, product, and technology stakeholders to embed Generative AI into analytics workflows.
• Lead multiple analytics initiatives and deliver high-quality insights and presentations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 6 years, PhD with 4 years, or 12 years of relevant experience in healthcare services, statistical analysis, insurance economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
• Experience querying diverse internal and external data sources to generate meaningful insights.
• Ability to create dynamic, visually engaging dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong business intelligence, communication, presentation, collaboration, and project leadership skills.
• Flex employees must be in the office a minimum of three days per week.

• Recognized expertise in Microsoft Power BI and modern business intelligence practices.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale analytics operating models, governance frameworks, and development standards.
• Experience applying Generative AI, automation, and reusable development practices to improve analytics productivity.
• Experience leading analytics platform strategy, adoption, and organizational change.
• Healthcare payer, medical economics, or healthcare analytics experience.
