Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems Engineering (ASRS)

Salary: USD 145,369.55–196,676.45 annually

What you will do

• Lead engineers, system owners, and technicians responsible for automated warehouse performance, reliability, and development.
• Establish technical support coverage, escalation paths, and recovery procedures for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Oversee ASRS equipment, AGVs, AutoStore, conveyors, warehouse control software, SAP EWM, and interfaces with manufacturing and packaging lines.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, investigations, change controls, and system reliability improvements.
• Lead commissioning, qualification, integration, continuous improvement, capacity expansion, technology upgrades, and lifecycle planning.
• Partner with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Digital Technology, Quality, EHSS, Global Engineering/ETA, and external vendors.

Requirements

• Engineering, automation, manufacturing systems, logistics, or related experience combined with the required education: doctorate plus 2 years, master's plus 6 years, bachelor's plus 8 years, associate's plus 10 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years.
• Experience leading engineers, technicians, or multidisciplinary technical teams in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience with ASRS, AGVs, AutoStore, conveyors, warehouse control systems, SAP EWM, or similar automated material-handling systems.
• Experience with complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, reliability improvement, commissioning, qualification, change control, and investigations in regulated manufacturing.
• Ability to coordinate technical work across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Digital Technology, Quality, EHSS, Global Engineering/ETA, and vendors.
• Role location: US - Ohio - New Albany.

Nice to have

• Experience managing complex automated-system lifecycles, including obsolescence management, expansion projects, upgrades, and new functionality.
• Experience providing engineering oversight for system modifications and expansion projects while maintaining technical standards and design integrity.
