Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Automation)

Location: Onsite in Andover, Massachusetts; candidates must live within commuting distance. Relocation benefits are not available. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

hirify.global develops and manufactures vacuum and other technical solutions, with this role supporting its Vacuum Solutions division.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for released products and resolve manufacturing and quality issues with cross-functional teams.
• Set up and automate manufacturing processes for existing products and new product introductions.
• Apply Lean methods, including Value Stream Mapping, 6S, and Kaizen, to improve production processes.
• Use structured problem-solving and statistical techniques to drive corrective actions and process control.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation in MES, including work instructions, test instructions, and forms.
• Establish BOMs, routings, labor standards, time studies, line balancing, tooling, fixtures, and operator training for production lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a mixed production environment.
• Experience with structured problem-solving tools, SPC, process control, and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Ability to work onsite in Andover, Massachusetts, while residing within commuting distance.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work safely with mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with measurement equipment, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Power BI, Oracle, Minitab, MES, or product lifecycle management systems.
• At least one year of experience troubleshooting and solving production problems with minimal supervision.
