What you will do

• Facilitate patient flow, escort patients, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and prepare examination rooms.
• Assist physicians and nurses with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain examination rooms, instruments, equipment, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
• Perform delegated procedures associated with the specialty area according to established protocols.
• Communicate with patients and care teams while maintaining confidentiality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligibility for or certification through an accepted medical assistant certification body, with certification required within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program and ambulatory care or electronic medical record experience are preferred.
