TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer (Aerospace): Owning requirements, safety analyses, verification, and certification readiness for Viceroy, a commercial wing-in-ground-effect Seaglider, with an accent on safety-critical systems engineering and regulatory traceability. Focus on solving ambiguous cross-disciplinary systems problems, developing FHA, FTA, and FMECA analyses, and creating verification approaches where established standards do not apply.

hirify.global is developing Seagliders, wing-in-ground-effect craft designed to provide fast, sustainable coastal transportation for passengers and cargo.

What you will do

  • Own complex systems engineering challenges for the Viceroy commercial Seaglider program, from requirements and analysis through verification and resolution.
  • Partner with electrical, mechanical, software, test, and other engineering teams to resolve requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Perform and review Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis.
  • Derive requirements from regulations, standards, safety analyses, and system needs while maintaining audit-ready traceability.
  • Develop verification approaches for requirements without established means of compliance and support domestic and international certification readiness.
  • Review teammates’ requirements, verification procedures, and safety artifacts while improving systems engineering tools, templates, and practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with safety-critical systems in aerospace, maritime, medical, nuclear, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience owning complex, ambiguous systems engineering problems spanning multiple disciplines.
  • Strong requirements and test management experience, including requirements development, traceability, verification planning, and system-level testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Jama, Polarion, DOORS, or equivalent requirements management platforms.
  • Deep system safety experience with FHA, FTA, FMEA, or FMECA.
  • Technical depth in areas such as aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or controls, combined with collaborative technical leadership.
