Systems Engineer (Certification)

What you will do

• Author, manage, and verify system, high-level, and low-level requirements for assigned Viceroy Seaglider systems.
• Create and oversee verification programs, including system-level testing and verification procedures.
• Derive requirements from regulatory documents, standards, and system safety analyses while maintaining end-to-end traceability.
• Conduct Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis for assigned systems.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and other multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve requirements and interface challenges.
• Improve requirements engineering and systems engineering processes as the certification and production programs scale.

Requirements

• Independent experience working on safety-critical systems in aerospace, maritime, medical, nuclear, or another regulated industry.
• Strong hands-on requirements engineering experience across the development lifecycle, including documentation, tracing, and maintenance.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Jama, Polarion, DOORS, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience developing system-level testing and verification approaches and evaluating results against requirements.
• Experience with system safety and risk analyses, including FHA, FTA, and FMEA.
• Technical understanding of disciplines such as aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or controls.
