Manager, Technology Operations - Marketplace Payment Operations (Fintech)

Location: Upstream Building AR Bentonville Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $80,000–$155,000 in Bentonville; $104,000–$202,000 in Sunnyvale, California. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and stock.

What you will do

• Own marketplace payment operations across assigned areas, ensuring accurate execution, timely seller resolution, and strong operational performance.
• Manage complex payment issues, incidents, and escalations with Product, Engineering, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Seller Support, and payment partners.
• Improve operational excellence through KPIs, SLAs, controls, SOPs, quality management, and continuous improvement.
• Identify product, tooling, and automation opportunities that improve seller experience and reduce manual work.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and support readiness for new payment capabilities and markets.
• Coach associates and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Experience in payments, fintech, financial operations, eCommerce, marketplaces, banking, or related operations.
• Experience resolving complex, ambiguous, and high-impact operational issues.
• Experience leading project, program, or operations initiatives involving milestones, dependencies, and risks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Understanding of operational controls, SOPs, SLAs, quality, governance, KPIs, trends, and root-cause analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
