Assistant Branch Manager

What you will do

• Partner with the Branch Manager to coordinate route drivers, customer deliveries, and branch personnel.
• Support safety management, incident reviews, facility maintenance, vehicle fleet maintenance, and continuous improvement programs.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, FDA, EPA, DOT, and company policies, including training and records.
• Support sales activity, walk-in business, customer follow-up, quotes, leads, inventory, shipments, and sales paperwork.
• Provide guidance to direct reports and branch employees, including coverage during the Branch Manager’s absence.
• Use TRIPS and monthly dashboards to support routing and business decisions.

Requirements

• At least one year of supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience and customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with one to three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid Class B driver’s license with a HAZMAT endorsement, and have at least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last five years.
• Successful completion of the hirify.global background check, motor vehicle check, and DOT Clearinghouse verification is required.
• Ability to lift 25–75 pounds routinely and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds, work outdoors in inclement weather, and maintain a drug-free workplace.
• Ability to enforce safety policies, organize multiple assignments, communicate effectively, and work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Touch freight delivery, forklift, SAP or similar software, and Google Platform experience.
• Product knowledge of welding, safety, gases, and hardgoods supplies.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and prioritization skills.
