Facility Security Officer (FSO)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; must be local to the work location. Occasional telework is available.

Salary: $3,000 per month

What you will do

• Administer DOD and industrial security programs in compliance with government and company policies.
• Develop procedures for classified, controlled unclassified, and proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
• Manage closed, restricted, and open storage areas, security records, access controls, and document registries.
• Conduct security education, audits, self-inspections, physical security surveys, and threat and vulnerability assessments.
• Investigate security violations, prepare reports, and coordinate preventive actions.
• Interface with government customers and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency during audits and security reviews.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• BS with 8–10 years of experience, MS with 6–8 years, or PhD with 3–5 years.
• DCSA FSO Program Management for Processing Facilities certification is required within 6 months.
• In-depth knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.
• Experience with US Government security systems, including NBIS eApp and DISS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of COMSEC procedures.
